Cindy Hitchcock

Cynthia (Cindy) J. Hitchcock earned a BA in fine arts with emphases in drawing and painting, and a MS in biology, focusing on amphibian decline. Cindy was formerly a graphic designer for companies including Pepsi Cola and Lenox China. Switching careers to become a biologist, she now works for the US Geological Survey. Many of her works are commissioned by fellow biologists who want an accurate rendering of their study organism. One of her paintings was featured on the cover of the scientific journal 'Copeia (recently renamed Ichthyology & Herpetology).'
